Are you an experienced accounting professional with knowledge of management accounts who has worked in the engineering, manufacturing, or construction industries? If so, our client, an infrastructure maintenance company, is recruiting for a Management Accountant for their site in Bury. The role will be responsible for the monthly Management Accounts of two UK business units.
Management Accountant Permanent Salary dependent on experience Monday – Friday 8am – 4pm or 9am – 5pm Bury (hybrid) Management Accountant Job Description - Preparing month end management accounts for two UK business units, including accruals and prepayments, fixed asset transactions, depreciations, income recognition, stock transactions and provisions in order to provide an up to date view of the company’s performance.
- Assisting audits with preparation of year-end statutory accounts and liaising with external auditors.
- Analysing and providing commentary on budget and forecast variances at company and operational levels and providing analytical guidance to improve efficiencies.
- Supervising and submitting information submission to statutory authorities.
- Reviewing and developing accounting policies and business processes.
Management Accountant Essential Experience/Skills/Qualifications - Demonstrable experience in a relevant accounting role.
- Strong knowledge of management accounts.
- Experience of working in an accounting role within the manufacturing, engineering or construction industries would be advantageous.
- Excellent knowledge of Excel.
- Qualified or working towards a relevant finance qualification.
