Job description
Qualter Hall & Co are looking for an engineering fitter apprentice to complete a level 3 metal fabricator apprenticeship. They are now seeking an apprentice to work within the Barnsley-based Production Department which offers bespoke Manufacturing and Machining.
Role & responsibilities:
Qualter Hall are looking to recruit an enthusiastic individual to develop a range of fitting skills in order to become part of their Production Team. When competent the candidate will work to accurately assemble a range of standard and bespoke fabricated steel products to appropriate quality standards in line with customer requirements and or company standards in the most effective manner.This role will incorporate an engineering apprenticeship with the aim of developing the technical skills necessary to assemble large complex machinery to fabricated items whilst maintaining quality and safety standards.

Things to consider:
During the first year you will be required to attend the University of Sheffield AMRC Training Centre in Sheffield, full time for an initial block of study. You will return to your workplace one Friday per month. After the initial block training you will attend the AMRC Training Centre for one day a week to undertake the knowledge study. The remaining four days will be spent in company learning on the job.
