Job description

Rentokil Initial has a very exciting IT strategy, in the main, of developing and deploying bespoke applications across the Prospect to Cash business processes. The Group Digital Product teams are responsible for developing, maintaining and supporting the core technology applications through regular engagement with the business.

Within the Sales and Marketing portfolio workstream, we have a number of agile product teams that have developed a range of exciting applications, along with integration of our bespoke solutions with off-the-shelf products and platforms, to ensure the business processes are supported by technology.

The Global BA role is responsible for the new ways of working across Sales and Marketing workstreams. The role is central to ensuring the right processes are captured from each of the harmonised regional businesses, and are played back for review and analysis to the development team. In addition to mapping the processes, an understanding and experience of Gap analysis will be required to work with each business to identify differences between current and future ways of working.

Key Responsibilities:

● Gathering the requirements, ensuring that the requirements are captured at the correct level of detail. This includes detailing out processes, scenarios and key data to support the requirements, together with the benefits and justification.

● Captures all requirements that have been validated as agile user stories in JIRA,to be used in refinement with thdevelopment team. This includes detailed acceptance criteria.

● Supports the team in estimating features (Points per Sprint vs Capacity) and setting sprint priorities (from the backlog)

● Understanding of both functional and nonfunctional requirements

● Ability to act as a gatekeeper for the scope - any new requirements would be channelled through the BA before going to the development product team or product owner

● Attends workshops and demos and plays a key role in controlling additional requests / change being raised later in the project (i.e. after the original requirements are agreed)

● Monitors progress of requests for support and ensures users and other interested parties are kept informed. Takes corrective action to avoid or minimise delays.

● Is responsible for Support Services and maintenance of the product(s) including application support and second/third line support

Requirements

● 5+ years experience as a BA, ideally working within an agile framework on a global scale with geographically dispersed teams

● Strong communications skills, both written and verbal

● Articulate, concise, a detailed and analytical thinker who also understands the bigger picture. Can bring structure and formality to analysis and requirements activity

● Operates at a senior level, has sufficient gravitas to interact with senior stakeholders, drive workshops and be an effective requirements "manager"

● Able to identify and control new requirements and has strong appreciation of change control

● Experience of working with development teams to convey the requirements and work with Product leads to understand the functional impact

● Not afraid to ask questions and challenge the status quo

● Customer Focus: Always keeping our service to the programme stakeholders and business operations at a high standard

● Keen to promote business analysis best practice

Additional Information

The UK office is based in Crawley (near Gatwick) which will be relevant for some business meetings or workshops. Depending on the need, hybrid working (i.e. a mix of home / office working) may be appropriate. We will definitely require some business travel - as our products are deployed globally there is an exciting opportunity to meet colleagues from our businessall over the world.
