mustardFX are very excited to partner with a veteran Game Development studio with offices across the UK. Proud of its open, friendly and creative atmosphere, our client has complete creative freedom over their titles and how they are developed with over 30 million sales across multiple installments and multiple platforms.

The studio is on the lookout for an Animation Director to join its ever-growing development team to make a key impact on multiple projects currently in the works across Survival Action Games and Strategic/Sci-Fi Shooters. You will be working on creating innovating movements and behaviours on exciting, unannounced titles. We're looking for talented and ambitious candidates to work on our clients games and with trusted industry partners on genre-defining AAA IP's.

Responsibilities:

• Proactively manage the departments performance and professional development through performance review cycles giving constructive, actionable, relevant feedback.
• Lead the Animation department with best practice people management techniques.
• Create high quality, in game animations to the highest standard in line with the style and demanded by the project.
• Verify the quality of animation in the game and make improvements where necessary to fit technical constraints and artistic direction.

Requirements:

• Expert knowledge of Motion Capture, Motion Builder, Maya, 3Ds Max and Character studio.
• Easily able to animate realistic human motion.
• Expert knowledge of rigging and skinning.
• Able to produce high quality animation in different game engines and production pipelines.
