Aspire People is currently seeking an experienced and enthusiastic English Teacher to join our team in Small Heath. The successful candidate will have a passion for English literature and language, as well as a commitment to fostering a supportive and engaging learning environment for students.
Responsibilities:
Plan and deliver high-quality English lessons that align with the curriculum, incorporating a variety of teaching strategies and resources to meet the needs of diverse learners.
Foster a love of literature and language through engaging and interactive classroom activities, discussions, and projects.
Assess student progress through regular formative and summative assessments, providing timely feedback to support their development.
Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment where all students feel valued, respected, and motivated to learn.
Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement effective teaching practices and resources, and participate in departmental meetings and professional development activities.
Communicate regularly with students, parents, and colleagues to provide updates on student progress and address any concerns.
Requirements:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent, with a specialization in English literature and/or language.
Previous experience teaching English at the secondary level preferred.
Strong subject knowledge and a passion for English literature and language.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and engage students from diverse backgrounds.
Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and contribute to a positive school culture.
Commitment to continuous professional development and staying abreast of best practices in English education.
