Anderson Knight are currently looking to recruit an Assistant Tax Manager to join one of our key clients is a leading player in the energy sector. With a strong presence in the UK, the company is at the forefront of shaping the future of energy solutions.
As an Assistant Tax Manager, you will play a crucial role in managing tax compliance, planning, and reporting activities for their rapidly growing business.
This will suit an ambitious individual who is looking to make the step up to a management role as my client will consider candidates with no prior management experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and ensure timely and accurate preparation of tax returns, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
- Assist in the development and implementation of tax strategies to optimize the company’s tax position.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide tax advice on business initiatives and projects.
- Monitor changes in tax laws and regulations, assess their impact on the business, and implement necessary adjustments.
- Prepare and review tax provisions and financial statements for compliance and accuracy.
- Assist in managing relationships with external tax advisors, auditors, and regulatory authorities.
Qualifications:
- Qualified CTA, ACCA, CA
- Proven experience in tax compliance, planning, and reporting, preferably within the energy sector.
- Strong understanding of UK tax laws and regulations.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with various stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
