Exciting Senior IBM Mainframe Systems Engineer opportunity to join a large business with sites across the UK and internationally. Permanent, full time role with a competitive salary / package on offer, remote working available (with flexibility to travel to sites as & when required)
The Role
The Senior IBM Mainframe Systems Engineer will be responsible for:
- being an SME for IBM based infrastructure & systems, acting as technical escalation
- lead on architectural & technical projects, improvements & upgrades to the IBM infrastructure
- installing, configuring and administering IBM systems & environments
- act as technical escalation for support queries (2nd-3rd line)
About you
Applicants for the Senior IBM Mainframe Systems Engineer role will have:
- experienced with supporting & installing IBM environments (zSeries essential)
- IBM WebSphere Application server experience & support (preferable or similar)
- Linux experience
- good communicator, ability to work with technical and non-technical stakeholders
- flexibility to travel to sites as and when required (in the UK and occasionally international)
