Job description


Senior Pharmacist Admissions.

We are looking for an experienced clinical pharmacists, based at Epsom to undertake this ward based role in our Acute Medical Admissions unit.

You will manage the pharmacy team in this challenging area, guiding and mentoring the ward based medicines management technicians, leading audits and projects to improve standards related to medicines management and decrease wastage within the Trust. You will also support more junior pharmacists in the development of their clinical and ward based skills with a particular focus on Medicines Reconciliation and working within the multi-disciplinary ward team.

You must have excellent communication and prioritisation skills and like to work in a busy ward environment.

To be a senior pharmacist to lead in the developments of pharmaceutical services at admission clinical areas, assisting the Deputy Chief Pharmacist, Clinical Services in developing Medicines Reconciliation processes within the Trust.

To assist in the provision of a comprehensive and efficient pharmaceutical service in accordance with required standards of quality and professional practice

Epsom and St Helier University Hospitals NHS Trust provides a range of medical services to approximately 490,000 people living across southwest London and northeast Surrey. In addition, we provide more specialist services, in particular renal and neonatal intensive care, to a wider area, covering parts of Sussex and Hampshire.
