2 i/c RE Department – with responsibility for one specific key stage (to be agreed by HoD)

We are looking to appoint a committed professional to the role of 2 i/c RE department at William Perkin CE High School. William Perkin Church of England High School was opened in 2013 and is part of the Twyford Church of England Academies Trust. Its GCSE results in its first two years of exams placed it in the top 10 schools in the country in terms of progress and it has grown a large and flourishing sixth form. The school is founded on the successful systems and approaches of Twyford CE High School, with the principle difference that it is a distinctively Christian school with open admission criteria. The school is rated ‘Outstanding’ in all areas by Ofsted (June 2015) and SIAMS (October 2016) and is oversubscribed on first choice applicants.

This is an exciting role for an innovative teacher who is ready to take on post-holder responsibilities as we prepare our students for GCSE and beyond. As the new 2iC you will be responsible for ensuring outstanding examination outcomes at a key stage and you will also work closely with our established and experienced RE team to ensure that comprehensive wider learning offer is in place for students.
