Permanent Veterinary Clinical Director - Newport, Wales

We are recruiting on behalf of a small animal practice in Newport for a Permanent Veterinary Clinical Director to lead their team. This role is full time for 4 - 5 days per week. There will be no OOH work or on-call duties.

- Team: Strong veterinary team and a supportive non-clinical team
The role
- The Clinical Director will be responsible for leading and coaching the team and driving the practice forward. They will develop the services and quality of service delivery at the practice. They will work closely alongside the Senior team and another Clinical Director.
- The role will also involve clinical duties including consultations and surgeries
- There will be no OOH work or on-call as the practice recognises the need for a good work-life balance

- Small Animal practice - part of a group of practices across the area.
- They offer a wide range of modern veterinary services and diagnostics, including an in-house laboratory, endoscopy, orthopaedic equipment, x-ray and the latest diagnostic imaging.
- They have a large Veterinary team across the practices. They have Veterinary Surgeons who hold certificates in surgery, medicine, imaging, cardiology and feline medicine.
- They have the facilities and caseload to support clinical development

About you
- They are looking for an experienced Vet who is confident in medicine. Ideally the Vet will hold advance qualifications or have an area of specialism. They will enjoy leading, coaching and mentoring others and have the passion and ambition to drive the practice forward.
- You will have excellent communications skills and client facing skills
- You will have a positive attitude and show empathy to both clients and team members
- You will encourage ongoing development of the team
- You will be a team player and be able to work in a collaborative manner
Package
- Salary: Up to £75,000 per annum, commensurate to experience
- Holidays: 7.6 weeks annual leave, incl bank holidays, increasing with service and birthday off
- CPD: Generous allowance of £1,250 with 5 days to attend
