Purpose of the role:
You will be required to manage client relationships with Strategic and tactical accounts with extensive exposure to developing opportunities in both the clients and RSSL environment as well as at external events.
Responsibilities:
Technical
Leading RSSL Training Sales that service:
Accountable for growing revenues to set targets
Accountable for forging and maintenance of Long Term Partnerships between RSSL Training Division and pharmaceutical companies and organisations requiring GMP QP or RP training or other Quality Training
Accountable for leading high value opportunities as required
Lead designated strategic RSSL Training initiatives and evaluations. The role interacts with the RSSL Leadership team providing Commercial strategic direction.
Accountable for implementation and delivery of initiatives as appropriate
Lead, motivate and develop the Training BD Operatives.
Coach and support other Commercial team members and mentor and advise RSSL Lab managers and technical specialists on commercial related matters.
Lead the RSSL Training Commercial Team:
Manage current priority clients
To personally manage a number of Key/Target accounts with a view to deepening and widening our relationship and deliver optimal levels of revenue.
To undertake legal and contractual negotiations with clients
Manage major (strategic) proposals
To identify client needs and translate them into profitable business for RSSL, creating benefits and additional value for clients
To develop clients to be advocates of RSSL and to reach partner status, by taking every opportunity to introduce clients to all the services provided and involving personnel from other departments as necessary, to ensure desired customer experience . t
Ensure the sales funnel meets agreed targets
Ensure Strategic account plans are maintained
Ensure team delivers on the plans
Forecast the growth of RSSL Training Division
Use judgement and tools to predict the growth to inform annual business planning process
Use industry knowledge to guide investments in new initiatives . Actively participate in the Innovation funnel from Stage one to four.
Lead designated strategic Training initiatives and evaluations:
Understanding market Needs/Trends of customers in the Pharma sector to identify new opportunities for revenue growth
Identify opportunities for change and drive strategic initiatives to grow RSSL’s market share
Identify and appraise new service opportunities
Deliver implementation of strategies
Actively contribute to the development of RSSL, conceiving and implementing Commercial Strategic projects
Deliver pricing reviews to maximise RSSL profitability
Develop promotional plans with the marketing team and prioritise initiatives to keep within Marketing Budget for the RSSL business
Lead periodic reviews on competitive environment and report developments to inform LT and LT+1
Lead, develop and coach the Training Commercial team:
Inspire team to excellence
Ensure personal development
Take action to ensure best practice is adopted and poor performance is addressed
Coach and support other Commercial team members and mentor and advise RSSL Lab managers and technical specialists on commercial related matters
Take an active part in professional industry bodies that develop policy/regulation to further enforce RSSL’s position as the experts and influencers for pharma clients and represent RSSL through delivering papers/presentations at relevant seminars, symposia and industry events.
Know the ethical and legal compliance responsibilities of the position; lead ethically and model compliant behavior; maintain an environment where employees can speak up without fear of retaliation; ensure employees in area of responsibility understand the compliance responsibilities of their jobs and actively participate in the compliance program
Knowledge, Skills, Experience
Experience gained with the pharmaceutical raining sales arena
Strong leadership experience, leading large commercial teams
Strong technical experience within the pharma training sector
Degree Level qualification or similar in a Science related subject
High level of Business Acumen
Delivery and customer focused
Able to resolve any conflicts through conflict management
High level usage of Dynamics 365 or other CRM
