Job description
We are seeking to appoint a Principal Project Manager within the Property & Assets team. You will work with service areas across the Council to provide property solutions which respond to Service Delivery Plans, but which are also are in line with strategies for rationalising the corporate estate, enhancing sustainability and reducing energy costs, maximising building occupancy levels and supporting flexible working.
Working closely with the Principal Property Manager you will take responsibility for developing programmes and lead on the implementation of projects.
The post holder will work closely with service areas in matters relating to the physical relocation of staff within the corporate estate including managing the movement of staff, files, furniture and equipment and co-ordinating the provision of IT and telecoms. Project work will include the commissioning of feasibility studies, scoping of design proposals and commissioning refurbishment works.
The post will be directly supported by a Project Assistant.
You will possess a Degree or equivalent level of experience (specific qualification requirement, if applicable) and have evidence of continuing professional development and/or membership of professional body.
