Job description

Northamptonshire company is looking to appoint an interim Management Accountant for a 3-6 month contract. They will also be hiring this role permanently so it could be temp-perm for the right candidate.

Key duties include:

• Liaise closely with the ledger supervisor to ensure a smooth and timely month end closure
• Responsible for the preparation of the month end financial results for the business across multiple international sites and departments.
• Preparation of in-depth analysis of department costs v budget and prior year for review by the finance manager and present at monthly department meetings.
• Assist the finance manager and head of finance with the preparation of the annual financial budget for the group and associated analysis as required.
• Assist senior members of the finance team in ensuring the successful and timely completion of the statutory annual audit.
• Preparation and timely submission of the VAT returns and associated tax authority compliance reporting

This role is inside IR35 scope so umbrella or PAYE only. The role is hybrid with 4 days on site & 1 being remote, there may be some flex for the interim support to reduce to a 3/2 split. This is a great opportunity for a solid finance professional who is ideally fully qualified, finalist level or Qualified by experience equivalent. Minimum commitment 3- 6 months to ensure good support / full handover to a permanent hire, alternatively this role could be temp-perm for the right candidate.
