About Us: We are seeking a qualified and experienced Behaviour Support Worker to join our team at the GROW Provision, a specialised facility catering to primary-aged children with social and emotional wellbeing needs. Located within a primary school in Colchester, our Behaviour Support Worker for GROW provision offers an alternative education approach based on Trauma Perceptive Practice through 6 Core Strengths. Our aim is to provide personalised curriculum and support to children facing barriers to learning under the SEMH umbrella, ensuring each child's progress is carefully monitored and reviewed.
Behaviour Support Worker for GROW Provision Key Responsibilities: - Provide high-quality Behaviour Support Worker specialist educational support for KS1/2 children, focusing on their social and emotional wellbeing.
- Facilitate children's progress in social and emotional development and learning, leveraging their strengths and resources.
- Foster positive adult and peer relationships, aligning with GROW's values and expectations.
- Handle safeguarding and child protection matters according to policies, procedures, and statutory requirements.
- Maintain regular communication with parents/carers to facilitate partnership working and purposeful reviews.
- Demonstrate flexibility and creativity in approach to support and problem-solving.
- Contribute to assessment, planning, monitoring, and evaluations processes.
Behaviour Support Worker for GROW Provision Requirements: - Behaviour Support Worker NVQ Level 3 in learning support/behaviour support or equivalent qualification/experience.
- Proactive team player with the ability to support children, families, and carers effectively.
- Capable of assessing progress and performance, recommending suitable developmental strategies.
- Skilled in establishing respectful and trusting relationships with children, families, carers, and other adults.
