Job description
Our client, a manufacturer of electric trucks for emerging markets, is currently looking for a Senior/Principal Powertrain Controls Engineer to join their team. The successful candidate will be a pivotal team member in developing the control strategy for the trucks.
The Senior/Principal Powertrain Controls Engineer will:
Support the Technical Lead in defining and developing the control strategy from a clean sheet.
Present sound technical solutions to the wider truck teams and stakeholders during reviews.
Identify and demonstrate how we create the control strategy to give a novel powertrain architecture to enable fleet monitoring integrating battery & EDU (a priority under APC19).
Supporting other aspects of the powertrain teamwork – whilst the control strategy for the powertrain is going to be their focus, they will be part of a team responsible for the whole powertrain of the truck.
The Senior/Principal Powertrain Controls Engineer will have:
Vehicle controls experience – Ideally from concept to production stage.
Skills in Mathworks Simulink.
Knowledge and expertise in a specific industry.
Desire to understand problems in a data driven and structured way.
Ability to find new solutions to difficult problems.
