Salary: Circa £60,000.00 per annum (Dependent on skills, experience and qualifications)

The Team

The MIS & Exams team is responsible for accurate, reliable and timely student management information, and it aims to provide a high quality, customer-focussed, professional service which enhances the student journey from enrolment to achievement whilst adhering to strict funding body and examination regulations. 

The Role

You will oversee and manage all data, funding and information systems within Northampton College, working with the Director of MIS to ensure that:

To meet these objectives, you will:

Provide line management and oversight of the MIS team, through the ILR & Data Manager, to ensure that the College’s data is robust, efficiently managed, adheres to funding rules and guidance, and is audit compliant.

Provide line management of the technical staff responsible for developing College information systems, including the timely and accurate submission of statutory returns and the development of robust applications and reports to support the College’s business processes.

Maintain and enhance the current high quality and integrity of funding information and other key data sets to ensure the accuracy and completeness of enrolment and funding data and keep senior management and curriculum staff well-informed through influencing, training, reporting and visualisations. 

Be responsible for all funding and data returns and claims required by funding bodies and associated regulatory bodies and provide the expertise and judgement to maximise funding claims.

Work with the DP Finance & Corporate Affairs, Director of MIS and curriculum staff to ensure robust curriculum planning as part of the College’s overall annual business planning cycle, and accurately forecast funding income to support financial management within the College.
