Job description
Our client is seeking the best gaming talent worldwide to add to their 30-plus-year legacy of AAA game development creating new and iconic franchises. They are looking for a talented Gameplay Engineer to work remotely across the US, earning a generous regional salary.
As a Gameplay Engineer, you will work in collaboration with artists, animators, designers, and other Engineers to develop and iterate on game features, systems, tools and pipelines for AAA titles.
To give you an idea of how this flexible role would look and feel, here are some of the things you could expect to do:
- Collaborate with peers and senior programmers on priorities and design review
- Take ownership and development responsibilities for extending existing systems or on new systems
- Work autonomously, with proven ability to define, refine, and alter technical designs and implementation of large or complex systems or tools
- Work independently with other internal groups including QA and leads to resolving problems
- Be responsible for the development process of assigned systems and tasks, including the creation of or contribution to technical design documents, accurately assessing time requirements and confidence level, and successfully completing milestones
To apply for this role, you'll need 4+ years as a Gameplay Engineer or equivalent. You'll also require:
- Demonstrated knowledge in overall game architecture, tools, and game systems (AI and Animation highly preferred)
- Experience working within proprietary and/or commercial game engines
- Strong Math and Programming skills (C++)
- The ability to communicate and collaborate across disciplines
