Gardener (Grade 4)
Description
We are currently seeking a skilled and dedicated Gardener to join our team. As a Gardener, you will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing the beauty of our gardens, ensuring they are well-manicured and thriving. You will work closely with our landscaping team to create and maintain a variety of plants, flowers, and trees to enhance the overall aesthetics of the premises. The ideal candidate will have a passion for horticulture and a keen eye for detail. This is a Grade 4 position, offering an excellent opportunity for growth and development within our organization.
Responsibilities
Cultivate and maintain flowers, plants, and trees in gardens and green spaces.
Plant, prune, water, and fertilize plants to ensure their healthy growth.
Conduct regular inspections of garden areas to identify and address any issues or potential risks.
Weed and remove debris from garden beds to maintain a clean and tidy appearance.
Mow lawns and trim edges to keep them neat and well-maintained.
Assist with the design and installation of new garden areas or landscaping projects.
Operate and maintain gardening equipment and tools, ensuring they are in good working condition.
Requirements
Proven experience as a Gardener or similar role, with a strong knowledge of plants and gardening techniques.
Able to work independently with minimal supervision, while also collaborating effectively within a team.
Physical stamina and strength to perform tasks such as lifting heavy objects, bending, and standing for long periods.
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
Ability to follow instructions and work in a timely manner to meet deadlines.
Knowledge of safety protocols and procedures related to gardening work.
Hours Per Week: 32.00
Start time: 07:00
End Time: 16:00
Pay Per Hour: £12.38
