We are looking for an individual who has previous accounts payable experience who will enjoy taking on more responsibilities, developing their skills in time. This role can really be - what you make it!

This position is for an Accounts Assistant and for the right person, they are offering:

Up to £25,000 + excellent culture + flexible working hours (35 - 40 working week) + hybrid working + progression + 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays + more

The role:

• To keep the accounts up to date including sales/purchase ledgers and receipts/payments necessary for reconciliation of bank accounts
• To manage the daily cash flow spreadsheets
• To input petty cash sheets
• Produce and supply ad hoc reports to departments as and when required
• Collate and calculate payroll information quarterly
• On-going support with monthly payroll process
• To reconcile purchase invoices against statements, delivery notes and purchase orders and investigate any discrepancies
• To manage timing of payments via cheque and BACS.
• To monitor and reconcile the aged credits report periodically
• Assist with bank reconciliations
• To bank cash and cheques when required.
• To arrange and process twice monthly supplier payment runs

Person specification:

• Team player
• Willing to learn
• Ability to manage own workload, prioritising accordingly
• Previous experience in accounts payable or similar accounts assistant role
• Computer literate
• Ability to use initiative and share ideas
• Comfortable working on a flexible/hybrid model
