Wolverhampton Permanent £95,000 - £110,000 per year

About Our Client

We are supporting a well established SME service provider in the Wolverhampton to recruit a new Finance Director.

Job Description

Reporting into the Managing Director, the Finance Director will take responsibility for all day-to-day financial aspects of the company's operations.

This role will be a 'go-to' position in the organisation for all finance related matters. This will also necessitate reporting to the Board and the Investors when required.

Main duties will include:

• Acting as trusted advisor to the MD.
• Day-to-day management of the accounts team
• Preparing & presenting monthly management accounts
• Maintaining Balance Sheet integrity, including the reconciliation process
• P&L preparation and variance analysis (covering sales, margin & overheads)
• Board reporting, commentary and KPI analysis
• Cashflow management and forecasting
• VAT control and associated HMRC compliance
• Implementing process improvement and enhancing the financial control environment
• Assisting with the budgeting, forecasting and three-year plan process
• Ensuring compliance with financial regulations
• Coordinate the audit as well as preparation of the consolidated group statutory accounts and tax returns

The Successful Applicant

The Successful candidate will have:

• Track record at FD or similar level of senior leadership.
• Recognised Chartered Accountancy Qualification (ICAEW / CIMA / ACCA)
• Excellent Excel and financial modelling skills and experience with working with ERP systems.
• Confident & fluent communication style
• Attention to detail and excellent accuracy
• The ability to lead and coach a team
