Our work matters to millions. Itll matter to you too. Join our Asset and Technology Solutions team as a Plant Fitter and you'll be a big part of fascinating, complex, varied and meaningful work.

What you'll be doing

You'll be primarily based in a workshop environment working alongside a team of Plant Fitters to ensure that Overhead Head Line (OHL) plant and specialist equipment is repaired, serviced and maintained to the required standards.

You'll provide cover for breakdowns on OHL projects in various locations on a rotation basis, completing documentation correctly and in a timely manner. You will also be asked to carry out workshop duties, as detailed by the team leader.

Who we're looking for

To join us in this role, you will have the following:

• Ability to read and understand hydraulic schematics and wiring diagrams;
• Experience in the servicing and maintenance of large diesel driven plant, including hydraulics and electrical system;
• Completed a plant apprenticeship or hold recognised Mechanical/ electrical qualification;
• Able to carry out fault finding and diagnostics on large diesel driven plant;
• Be computer literate and able to use MS office competently;
• Full UK driving licence;
• Willingness to work overtime.

We would like you to have:

• A valid forklift and telehandler operators certificate;
• A welding qualification;
• A safety qualification (e.g. IOSH)or willingness to work towards one;
• EUSR SHEA power qualification.
