Personal Assistant/Carer
Flexible: Bank-Weekly Hours This is an excellent opportunity for a mother-friendly chance to assist a 36-year old gentleman with a complex physical disability. He is a bright, easy-going, and pleasant individual who relies on his wheelchair for his mobility needs. The post requires casual hours as needed, Monday to Friday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., with flexibility available and an optional one-day per week at the employer’s discretion, allowing a flexible work-life balance with childcare commitments while still meeting the needs of the service user. The individual from the Accrington area will need assistance with light household tasks, daily activities, and fantastic daily outings of his choice. He will also need help with all aspects of personal care and will rely on his carer's experience and expertise to provide this. The selected candidate‘s duties will take place in a calm, clean, and safe home environment, in a COVID-Safe property occupied by the service user and his dedicated and skilled carer, who provides direct support on separate occasions. You must be engaged, empathetic, and dependable, with good time management and organisational skills, as well as able to perform daily tasks efficiently and effectively while keeping in mind the needs and interests of the service user. Applicants must be in excellent health and hold a clean valid UK driver’s licence to transfer the service user in his well-maintained (manual) adapted vehicle in a care-driven way for daily trips, shopping errands, and occasional medical schedules covered by the vehicle insurance policy provided. You must undertake a DBS check if required, the cost of which will be covered by the employer, and the required training will be paid for.
