Location

Newbury, Berkshire | United Kingdom

Job description

Doing Amazing Things Together

We’re all about possibilities. Are you?

Are you active and outgoing?

Do you enjoy swimming, shopping, organising fun days out and Holidays?

Become a Support Worker.

What matters to the people we support matters to us. It’s their life, their way.

We are looking for great people to join our fantastic teams supporting adults with learning disabilities in their own homes in Newbury.

You will be working in people’s homes, so it’s important you can connect, share interests and be interested. They enjoy shopping trips, popping out for coffee, planning and going on holidays and days out, Music and swimming. They are also members of a local activities project.

If you have an interest in any of these or other activities and hobbies you feel would make a difference to the lives of the people we support in Newbury and you enjoy building meaningful relationships and think you could plan, communicate and deliver support with and alongside people, then this is the place for you.

We have full and part time roles available and you should be available to work shifts across the week and some weekends.

The people we support like to get out and about and have their own vehicles, so you will need to be a driver and willing to drive their vehicles. For this you should have a full UK manual driving licence and have held it for at least 1 year for insurance purposes.

Affinity Trust does not presently hold a Sponsorship Licence and while this status is reviewed regularly there is no present proposal to apply for such a Licence

Why Join Us?

What will we do?

We will train you in everything you need to be a great Support Worker. We will apply and pay for your enhanced DBS, and we have a mentorship scheme in place to provide support and guide you on your journey with us

We offer Wagestream - a money management app that gives you access to a percentage of your pay as you earn it, access to coaching, vouchers, discounts, cashback and more.

We provide a package of benefits that make it that bit easier to be your best and we can also support you to achieve a Level 2 diploma in Health and Social Care and pursue a career that takes on more responsibility.

What will you do?

Supporting people is really important but it’s not all days out and shopping. We also support people to make healthy lifestyle choices and maintain their home in a way they feel safe and well.

If you want to empower people to live the life they choose and you share our values… Apply to become a Support Worker today.
