Leading manufacturer of automated robot systems and special purpose machinery based in Cumbernauld now seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer.

Mechanical Design Engineer

£35,000 - £50,000 + Pension.

Glasgow based.

Ref: 22546

Perfect career move for someone with experience with machine tool design or robotics and an interest to specialise in these areas.

Mechanical Design Engineer – The Role:

• Design and development of new project concepts from conception through to successful completion
• Prepare designs, drawings and equipment to comply with British and European Standards.
• Engineering calculations to analyse stress and deflection of structures, power and torque of drivetrains, the inertia of machinery and mechanisms.
• Understanding tolerances and material choice

Mechanical Design Engineer – The Person:

• Experience in the design of machine tools / metal-cutting and other special purpose machinery
• Ideally with experience of pneumatic components and circuitry
• Fully conversant with Solidworks
• Robotics experience advantageous

This role will be based in Glasgow commutable from Falkirk, Stirling, Grangemouth and Livingston.

Role also suitable for Mechanical Engineer, Design Engineer, Technical Design Engineer
