Our client in Holland Park, London, is looking for an experienced chef to join them and provide quality meals. The chef will be responsible for cooking for busy principals, which includes two adults and occasionally their adult children or guests. The work schedule will mostly be from Monday to Friday, with occasional weekends required for parties and events. However, the chef will primarily need to have meals ready in the fridge during those times. The working hours for the chef will be approximately 9 am to 6 pm, preparing lunch and dinner but will not be expected to stay and serve meals, time will be allocated for menu planning, grocery ordering, and shopping.
The dietary preferences of the household are mostly plant-based with a gluten-free emphasis. However, there will be occasional healthy chicken and/or fish meals. The client is seeking someone with a passion for healthy and clean eating who can confidently prepare simple, tasty home-cooked meals using the best ingredients available. Family-style presentation.
The ideal candidate will be committed to making a long-term commitment and will enjoy working in a small household. As the kitchen is the heart of the house, the family spends time working and socializing there throughout the day. The candidate should understand the privilege and challenges of working in a family setting and possess the utmost discretion, as well as a friendly but calm personality.
The family has a house in the South of France, and the successful candidate will be expected to travel there for a few weeks a year.
Immediate start is required, and the chef must have a driving license.
The salary offered is 55K - 60k per year.
