The Head of Transportation department areas of domain focus on managing the relationship with the Transportation Service Providers through:
Contract management (negotiation of tariffs, bonus/malus programs, duration & SLA’s)
Identification of efficiency gains via managing continuous improvement programs
KPI management
More specifically, in this role, the HoTD has End-to-End responsibility on:
Inbound Freight (Sea, Air, Truck)
Outbound Freight (B2B and B2C – Pallet, Parcel, Express)
Carrier management Costs, Budget, Services etc.)
Budget build & Transportation P&L
Performance and Cost Reporting
Invoice control and documentation
Claims Management
Assist Sales Business Units to find delivery solutions to customers/ consignees requests
Implementation of X-docking models
Identification of new routes
Improvement programs
Customizations
Project management to lead all the above
Support to Opening/ Transfer of Distribution Centers
Solid proven previous experience in Transportation management areas (min 7 yrs)
Proven track record of process improvement and change management
Project management skills from identification of gaps to delivery of the solutions
Developed analytical and problem solving skills
Staff management and motivational skills
Available to travel around Europe (5-6 days per month)
Effective personal organization and planning skills
Advanced user of MS Office, especially Excel
Fluent in English, Spoken and Written
Excellent communication skills, in particular good written and presentation skills
