This is an exciting opportunity for a Band 6 post for someone keen to become a Practice Development Nurse within the Learning & Development (L&D) team at Rennie Grove Peace Hospice Care. Supporting both the Head of L&D and the Medical Lead for Education, and working alongside clinical and L&D colleagues.

You will:

• Support and assess clinicians' practice, be flexible within your working pattern and approach.
• Work across all Rennie Grove Peace sites as required.
• Identify and promote evidence based clinical practice within palliative and end of life contexts, through the implementation and facilitation of clinically-based teaching / education, to ensure that staff are equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their roles competently.
• Assess clinical competencies and maintain training records.
• Support the delivery of L&D programmes, including but not limited to clinical induction and competency programmes, clinical development programmes incorporating theoretical teaching, clinical skills assessments and formulation of personal development plans.
• Facilitiate the professional development and education of colleagues in a positive learning environment.
• Work closely with the Palliative Medicine Consultant (Medical Lead for Education) and Head of L&D to provide advice and guidance; undertake audits and assist with the development of professional policies, standards and best practice guidelines.
• Act as a Rennie Grove Peace ambassador within the community.
• Undertake other responsibilities as may be reasonably assigned from time to time.
