Youth Workers
- SEN Provisions in Blackburn, Burnley and Rawtenstall.

Teaching Personnel are looking to recruit additional support staff members, ideally experienced Youth/ Support Workers for employment in specialist schools based in the East Lancashire area. These specialist provision caters for children with SEMH and Autism who can often display challenging behaviours. These posts are to start on a full-time basis (varied hours), you will be required to work during term-time, with the view of becoming a permanent member of staff.
The class sizes vary between generally 6-8 pupils and having effective support within school is crucial to supporting the students appropriately. You will have strong interpersonal skills in order to communicate with families, carers and a multidisciplinary team of teaching staff, social workers and educational psychologists. You will be organised, patient and confident, with a sound understanding of the key issues currently affecting young people.
As these can be challenging environments you will ideally have experience in this sector and have worked with challenging individuals. The schools are open to various experience and try and recruit based on the unique skills a candidate can bring to the role, giving their pupils exposure to new experiences.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
