Can you work as part of a dedicated team to support students who struggle to attend school? 

We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and dedicated person to join our specialist SEN department as an Engagement Support Assistant. This is an exciting new role and we are looking for a suitably experienced person to lead targeted intervention sessions for students with an EHCP. An important part of the role will also be to coordinate plans for individual students with an EHCP who are struggling to attend school. Bushey Meads School provides education for the full ability range of students and we strive to ensure that individual student needs, interests and abilities are recognised and met and encourage all to be independent, resilient and able to make positive life choices.

The post is for 37 hours per week , term-time + 1 week to include 5 INSET days. The salary is APT&C point 7 – 9 plus Fringe, paid pro-rata and based on experience. Full time figures are £24,294pa - £25,119pa + £988pa fringe , and the actual pro-rata salary is £20,778pa - £21,484pa + £845pa fringe.
