Are you a Qualified Nurse or Operating Department Practitioner (ODP) with a passion for surgical care? We are seeking a dedicated Surgical First Assistant (SFA) who thrives in a fast-paced environment to join our team. As an integral member of our surgical team, you will play a vital role in supporting patient care and promoting excellence in surgical practice.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assessment of Patient Health: Support in assessing the health and well-being of patients across a diverse and changing caseload, ensuring the delivery of high-quality care tailored to individual needs.
- Promotion of Best Practice: Contribute towards quality improvements by promoting best practices and implementing evidence-based guidelines to enhance patient outcomes.
- Surgical First Assistant (SFA): Act as an SFA across a heavy caseload of general, gynaecology, and bariatric surgery, providing expert assistance to surgeons during procedures.
- Scrub Practitioner: Utilize your expertise as a Scrub Practitioner across various specialties, ensuring sterile technique and patient safety throughout surgical interventions.
Who We're Looking For:
- Qualified Nurse or ODP with a valid PIN.
- Hold a Surgical First Assistant Qualification.
- Willingness to participate in a flexible working rota, including performing general scrub duties.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
