Job description
North Tyneside Council’s Bereavement Service has Gold Charter Status for both its cremation and burial service and Preston Cemetery also has Green Flag status.
The service has responsibility for 2 Crematoria, 7 Cemeteries and 6 closed Churchyards situated within over 120 acres of land. We are looking to appoint a highly motivated and professional Team Leader. You will manage our front-line teams who carry out burials and cremations as well as maintain the grounds within our cemeteries and churchyards and provide support to the Operational Manager. The role includes responsibility for Health and Safety and safe working practices in respect of the service. You will liaise with the recently bereaved and officiate at burials and you will be a role model to the team and will also be able to demonstrate excellent customer care skills in this environment.
