Teacher of Science

Required for September 2024 – MPS/UPS Inner London Scale

The Governors of this highly successful and over-subscribed mixed 11-18 Specialist Science College are seeking to appoint a highly motivated, exceptional teacher to the above role starting in September 2024. Applications from exceptional ECTs are welcome.

St Gregory’s has been identified by OFSTED in March 2019 as an outstanding school in all areas of its practice; by the DfE as a National Lead Behaviour School and by the SSAT as a High Attaining School. In 2023, 33% of all A level grades were A*-A, 72% were A*-B and 95% were A*-C. At GCSE, pupils attained 33% Grade 7+, 67% Grade 5+ and 82% Grade 4+.

We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, talented and innovative Science teacher to our outstanding Science department. The successful candidate will be a person who has a passion for Science and there are opportunities to teach GCSE Combined Science, GCSE Separate Sciences, and A level Biology, Chemistry and Physics.

Science is a very successful subject at St Gregory’s with a Progress 8 score in 2023 of +0.34 (school performance tables). The school is firmly committed to CPD and promotes opportunities for improving subject knowledge and pedagogy as well as career development within the school.

Effective safeguarding, data protection and promoting the welfare of pupils is our upmost priority.
