Agriculture Account Manager Apprentice

In this apprenticeship you will follow an Agricultural Account Manager pathway, learning how to optimise sugar beet crop and plan yields for both harvest and post-harvest. You will learn how to build trusted partnerships with our growers to ensure sugar beet is grown profitably and delivered to our factories. As the UK’s sole producer of Sugar from home grown Sugar Beet this apprenticeship is unique.

This is not a traditional farm-based apprenticeship – it will suit you if you already have a background or strong interest in agriculture or want to begin working towards a minimum of a Level 3 Apprenticeship in Agriculture.

You will become an integral part of the team, learning how to build trusted relationships with our Growers and advise our Growers on how to optimise growing sugar beet with us over a long-term partnership. Your Agricultural team works with farmers, harvesters, and hauliers to ensure that all aspects of sugar beet growing, and delivery are managed collaboratively.

A 30-month programme, following the Crop Technician apprenticeship standard Level 3 and all the practical experience to be ready to move into an Agricultural Account Manager role.

Working in an area around one of our East Anglian factories - Bury St Edmunds, Wissington or Cantley, you will spend time at college on day or block release and working closely with the Agricultural Account Managers as you develop your skills and experience before taking on your own area on successful scheme completion.
