Key Responsibilities:
Talent Acquisition:
- Attract and engage top-tier talent through proactive strategies and relationship-building using the Heads Recruitment Strategy.
- Develop and maintain a strong employer brand presence.
- Forge partnerships with universities and participate in graduate fairs to attract fresh talent.
- Host and facilitate graduate assessment days to secure annual graduate intakes.
- Map competitors and target key individuals for experienced hires.
- Identify and target recruitment businesses and sectors for talent acquisition.
- Ensure a clear interview and assessment process, including behavioral profiling (McQuaig).
- Conduct quarterly meetings with managers to understand recruitment needs and workforce development plans.
Learning and Development:
- Lead the development of a robust learning and development culture within the business.
- Develop people’s capabilities, skills, knowledge, and mindset to enhance employee engagement and retention.
- Collaborate with Directors to identify training needs, talent gaps and build capability pipelines to ensure effective succession planning.
Onboarding and Training:
- Manage the onboarding process for new team members.
- Create an induction training schedule and ensure mentorship for all new hires.
- Act as a go-to person for new team members, providing support and guidance.
- Deliver a significant part of the induction training schedule for all recruits.
- Coordinate and deliver training at all levels within the organisation.
- Drive and instill the learning and development culture across the teams.
- Support operations in enhancing the onboarding process and experience.
Key Metrics for Success:
- Successful growth of the team measured through the Heads Attrition rate.
- Positive feedback from employees on the onboarding and training experience.
- Achievement of key strategic hires across different business functions.
- Alignment of Learning & Development (L&D) strategy with the Business Roadmap.
- Measurable impact of L&D in key strategic areas resulting in retention and promotion of individuals internally.
- Providing opportunity, coaching, and provision of internal movements within the Group.
Knowledge:
- Understanding of employer brand and values.
- Familiarity with the role of a recruitment consultant and resourcer.
- Knowledge of the market, competitors, and best practices in recruitment.
- Proficiency in interviewing techniques and social media.
Skills:
- Strong presentation and communication skills.
- Ability to deliver effective training and become a proficient trainer.
- Influencing and coaching skills for employee development.
This role operates hybrid and would be considered 4 days per week. The office locations are Southampton and London and you will be required to be able to attend each one, at least once per week.
