The Role

Here at SecureCloud+ we are seeking a dedicated Field Engineer to join our growing operations team.
As a Field Engineer, you'll have the opportunity to apply your expertise in troubleshooting, maintenance, and installation across various systems and equipment.
This role is field based with a focus around the M4 Corridor. However, you will be expected to provide coverage all around the UK as required.
Role Responsibilities
Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Field Support:
- Conduct site surveys and pre-installation discoveries prior to the installation of new or upgraded managed services.
- Support pre-sales technical demonstrations as required.
- Be responsible for technical early life support requirements on all new managed services.
- Produce all support and pre-installation documentation where appropriate.
- Join the on-call rota to support P1 incidents out of hours.
Systems Maintenance:
- Take ownership of assigned escalated incidents, problems, and change requests to ensure the company meets its SLA timescales.
- Timely update the company's Service Management ticketing system.
- Carry out all maintenance tasks for on-site services as detailed in contracted service management plans.
- Maintain the Reference Facilities that support Systems Maintenance.
- Consult with the Service Desk and infrastructure team to address in-depth issues.
- Carry out initial inspections on returned end-user equipment and on new or replacement end-user equipment prior to dispatch.
- Implement agreed service changes and ensure all documentation is updated to reflect configuration changes.
- Manage assets for all managed services.
System Installation:
- Build, install, and configure managed ICT services in line with the company's product set and customer requirements.
- Assist in the day-to-day technical relationship with internal customer service teams and third-party supplier interfaces.
- Ensure all appropriate installation documentation is produced.
Education and Experience Requirements
As the Field Engineer you will have:
- Ability to work autonomously under your own initiative.
- Proven record in supporting project delivery.
- Commitment to continually developing technical skills.
- Good understanding of current HMG security classifications.
- Initiative and proactivity, matched by the ability to be a strong team member.
- Experience in managed service environments, with an awareness of ITIL best practice.
- Experience in building, testing, and implementing systems, along with third-party line operational support.
- Good communication skills with the ability to influence and negotiate both internally and externally.
- Willingness to work flexibly in response to changing organizational requests, including working nights away at customer sites when required.

UK Security Check (SC) clearance is required for this position. Candidates must possess or be eligible to obtain SC clearance. Candidates must also be willing to attain DV clearance as required.
