Job Description
- Manage and process the Education payroll with precision and timeliness.
- Ensure compliance with relevant laws and internal policies.
- Verify timesheets, withholdings, and other payroll-related documents.
- Resolve payroll discrepancies and answer employee queries about payments.
- Prepare reports for audits and upper management.
- Update payroll records by entering changes in exemptions, insurance coverage, and job title.
- Review and improve payroll policies and procedures.
- Maintain employee confidence by keeping payroll information confidential.
The Successful Applicant
A successful Payroll Officer should have:
- A degree in Accounting, Finance or relevant field.
- A knowledge of Payroll within Practice, ideally for Education based clients.
- A solid understanding of accounting fundamentals and payroll best practices.
- Strong numeracy and data entry skills.
- Knowledge of payroll software.
- Outstanding communication abilities (written and oral) with attention to confidentiality.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
