Job description
Sirius Academy North are seeking to recruit a Site Maintenance Officer to join our team.
Main Purpose of the Post:
To ensure the safe and secure custody of the site; to monitor effective provision of the utilities; and, to carry out maintenance and repairs.To enhance and strengthen the diverse site team working as a proactive member under the guidance of the Line Manager Principal Accountabilities:
Open and close the site, including setting and un-setting alarms.
Undertake call out responsibilities, including responding to emergency repairs to ensure site safety.Participate in health and safety inspections and identify health and safety issues
Be responsible for statutory compliance adhering to the relevant policies.
Carry out daily observation of the BMS system and report issues to Line Manager, if applicable.Input data and certificates onto the Constellation Trust’s building management software.Provide cover for absence across all sites within the Constellation Trust, when required.Have sole responsibility and be the main point of contact for Head of School, Staff and external agencies when providing absence cover at small Primary sites.Admit contractors onto the premises and direct them to their job location following the Constellation Trust procedures, including safeguarding, for admitting visitorsCarry out basic maintenance and repairs to the building and grounds.
Be responsible for general decoration of buildings and produce a schedule of work required for the Line Manager.Carry out routine porter duties, e.g. move furniture, carry out basic maintenance and repairs, etc.Ensure that all external areas, paths and drives remain free from litter and hazardous materials and that all drains and gullies are free flowing and clean, when necessary.Clear pathways of snow and apply salt when necessary and keep adequate records of this action.Drive the minibus to garage for maintenance and repairs.

The successful candidates will show self-motivation and have high standards of workmanship. Salary, Grade 5, Point 8 - £24,702 - Point 13 - £26,873 for 37 hours per week, full time, annual leave entitlement from 24 days per year, plus bank holidays.
