We have an exciting opportunity for a Leadership Development Manager to join our Talent & Leadership team here at Domestic and General. The role is a 12-month fixed term maternity cover and is a great opportunity to support the delivery of our ambitious leadership development plans and our people strategy.
Working as part of the Talent & Leadership team, this role will focus on uplifting leadership capability across D&G, to achieve excellence in leadership, improve our leadership maturity and drive greater business outcomes.
You will be responsible for designing, delivering and evaluating leadership programmes and team development activities to enhance the capability of our leaders, as well as supporting the creation of our professional skills offering to colleagues.

Key responsibilities:
Work closely with Talent & Leadership team to support execution of D&G’s Leadership Development ambition for the next financial year.
Support the design and embedding of a leadership framework and standards that define what good leadership looks like at D&G
Design and deliver leadership development programmes for all layers of leadership.
Evaluate and monitor success of leadership programmes to ensure they are developing the desired skills and capability in our leadership population.
Lead on design and delivery of programmes to enhance team effectiveness and performance, including new team kick offs and high performing team interventions.
Support implementation of professional skills development offering, including apprenticeships and people management skills.
Closely manage external delivery partners to ensure content design and delivery is adapted to the needs of D&G.
Support delivery of other projects within the broader Talent and Leadership ambition.
Skills and experience required for this:
Strong understanding of the theory and practice associated with Leadership Development, Adult Learning, Team Effectiveness and Communities Development.
Interest and awareness of external trends, benchmarks, networks and thought leadership that will positively impact leadership design.
Self-motivated, proactive and able to work independently.
Excellent communication skills and able to effectively engage and develop strong trust-based relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
Adaptable and able to tweak leadership solutions in response to changing business needs.
Previous experience of facilitating workshops and delivering training in different environments as well as designing, delivering and implementing leadership interventions to employees at all levels.
Able to build good partnering relationships with external suppliers to deliver projects.
