Grafton Banks Finance is working with growing and profitable PE backed international business to recruit its new Group Financial Accountant.

This business is growing organically, and this role is a result of that growth. You will be working as part of a high calibre group finance team to manage and maintain the financial reporting, compliance, and control activities for the group, working closely with the divisional finance teams.

We are looking for a practice trained qualified accountant who is technically strong. It could be someone making their first move into industry or someone already working in a financial accounting role having trained in practice. Experience of consolidations and IFRS would be useful but aren’t essential.

Key responsibilities:

Group management monthly reporting - consolidating results from the different businesses.

Group statutory reporting for year-end under required standards (IFRS / FRS 101).

Preparing multi-currency consolidation and driving system-based consolidation where appropriate.

Assisting with audit related queries and requests.

Using technical knowledge and judgement to assess accounting treatment.

Assisting with the preparation and filing of subsidiary statutory accounts.

Assisting with tax processes for the group including working with external advisors to implement new tax planning programmes.

Assist with treasury management and reporting to banks for covenant compliance.

Our client offers hybrid working with 2 days expected in the office whilst the successful applicant settles into the role and then more flexibility can be offered. Salary for this role is £55,000 – 60,000 + benefits including 10% bonus, matched pension, 25 days holiday.
