Job description
We are looking for a driven Business Development Manager to join our client based in Fife. The Business Development Manager will help to create new business opportunities and maintain and further develop our existing client relationships.
This role offers the flexibility to be UK based with a hybrid work option available. An openness to travel and flexibility with working hours is required.
THE SUCCESSFUL APPLICANT
Relevant experience in a Business Development role.
Knowledge of the maritime sector. – Desirable.
Full UK Driving License and flexibility to travel.
Sound working knowledge of Microsoft Office Package – Word, Excel & PowerPoint
Good planning and organisational skills.
Good IT and report writing skills.
An enthusiastic approach, with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong interpersonal, communication, influencing and negotiating skills.
Target driven and highly motivated.
JOB DESCRIPTION
Developing and maintaining a detailed understanding of market development and opportunities.
Creating new business opportunities that align with our client’s planned growth and company strategy.
Pursuing opportunities and developing good relationships with potential clients.
Assisting in building a strong company brand and contributing to the successful overall performance of the company.
Promoting the company at conferences and exhibitions.
Maintaining our client’s registrations on contractor selection databases.
Assisting with the creation of marketing material, PR text and other written material.
Manage the preparation and submission of pre-qualification documentation, ensuring that high standards are always maintained.
Assist with the tender process as required.
