Job description
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Recruitment Assistant to support our human resources and recruitment team in the York office. Reporting into the Head of HR, the ideal candidate will be responsible for assisting with various recruitment tasks and supporting the recruitment process to ensure the organisation attracts, hires, and retains high-quality employees.
- Assist with the recruitment process, including scheduling interviews and communicating with candidates.
- Conduct initial screening of CV's and applications to identify potential candidates for open positions.
- Coordinate and schedule interviews between candidates and hiring managers.
- Maintain and update HR databases and employee records to ensure accuracy and compliance with relevant regulations.
- Assist in the development of recruitment strategies to attract a diverse pool of qualified candidates.
- Previous experience in a human resources or recruitment-related role is essential
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a professional and personable demeanor when interacting with candidates and employees.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and experience with HRIS or ATS software is a plus.
- Knowledge of HR policies, employment laws, and recruitment best practices.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
- A team player with a proactive and collaborative approach to work.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in all aspects of the role.
- A genuine interest in human resources and talent acquisition, with a desire to learn and grow within the field.
