Job Description

Our Client manufacture quality, reliable commercial plant, general duty, coil pipe, rolling chassis and cable drum trailers. Designed and manufactured in Britain, their market-leading, heavy-duty towing equipment supports the gas, water, electric and telecommunications industries.

Job Duties

The successful applicant will be the first point of contact and the face of the business, maintaining the company reputation for outstanding customer service. It will include processing all customer orders, quotes, and queries so that all client needs, requirements and expectations are fulfilled in line with the Company mission statement, values and code of conduct.

 

Duties (include but are not limited to)

·        Answer every call within 2 rings and direct where needed.

·        Process every telephone enquiry whether it be an order or a quote.

·        Process all fax and email/web orders and enquiries.

·        Update customer records in Intact IQ with any address changes or contact names.

·        Pass on information collected through customer contact to the relevant account managers.

·        Liaise with procurement regarding new part numbers for specials and supplier due dates.

·        Upsell on every order where applicable.

·        Inform customers of any delays or shortages on their order and let them know when it will be available –outstanding order report - copying in relevant account managers.

·        Deal with customer returns accurately recording why goods are being sent back and the resolution, entering onto Intact IQ – also arrange collections when applicable.

·        Check and monitor couriers for exceptions throughout the day and follow up with couriers requesting credits where applicable, and advise customers of issues, copying in account managers.

·        Attend Company staff meetings.

·        Attend Sales Huddles & Customer Service Huddles.

·        Monitor and answer the web chat promptly and efficiently and follow up with corresponding quotes/email responses.

·        Any other reasonable duties as requested by the Company.

Applicant Specification

·        Minimum of 2 years experience in a similar customer service / order processing role essential

·        Committed team player

·        Accurate and diligent

·        Willing to help and take on challenges

·        Highly organised and deadline conscious

·        Excellent time management skills

·        Able to deal with difficult conversations or customers in a professional manner

·        Devoted to delivering exceptional customer service
