Job description

Job Title: Secondary Tutor

Location: South East England, Surrey, Croydon

Job Type: Temporary, Part-Time

Salary: £20 - £25 Per hour
- Provide academic support to secondary students in various subjects
- Develop and implement individualised learning plans for students with Special Educational Needs (SEN)
- Assist students in improving their study skills and exam preparation techniques
- Monitor and assess student progress to adjust teaching methods accordingly
- Collaborate with teachers and parents to ensure a holistic approach to student development
- A relevant degree in Education or a related field
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Experience working with SEN pupils

A degree in Education or a related field

Prior experience working with SEN pupils
- Strong understanding of secondary curriculum and teaching methods
- Ability to tailor teaching approaches to meet individual student needs
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Organisational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks effectively
- Additional training in Special Educational Needs (SEN)
- Experience in providing one-on-one tutoring or small group instruction

This role is based in South East England, Surrey, Croydon. The position is temporary and expected to work part-time hours. The successful candidate will work closely with secondary students, teachers, and parents to support student learning.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
