Job description
Permanent job opportunity to work with a well-established electronics manufacturer in Bedford who are seeking an experienced Solderer (to IPC standards) for their PCB department.
You will be working in the PCB department on prototype PCB's, working mainly from electronic drawings.
Internal progression and ongoing training is available within the company if you wanted to move onto bigger and better things in the future.
Solderer Requirements:
- Correct identification of through-hole components and their values.
- Soldering to IPC standards (level 2/3)
- Self- inspection to ensure product is manufactured to customer specification.
- Utilisation of machinery (e.g. selective solder, wave solder, conformal coating), tools and equipment to process, to ensuring product is manufactured correctly.
- Effectively clean PCAs using appropriate processes and machinery.
- De-Soldering.
- Soldering rework up to ultra-fine pitch surface mount components.
- BGA rework/repair.
Solderer Responsibilities:
- The Solderer will be required to work from engineering drawings, populating and soldering PCB
- Most of the Soldering will be through-hole soldering
- Candidates will also be required to do a mixture of mechanical box, panel build and electrical wiring
- The Solderer could be required to do loom installation, general wiring of panels, terminating and crimping wires
