Would you love to come to work every day in a school where staff morale is high and staff are supported to professionally develop?
Millfield Science and Performing Arts College is a vastly oversubscribed and successful 11 to 16 school on a journey to outstanding. Our motto is to ‘Create Bright Futures’ for all our students and we have a commitment to staff wellbeing, workload and regular, high-quality CPL.
In September 2020, we began the exciting step into our school becoming a Dynamic Learning Community: where staff collaborate and use evidenced-based research and coaching to improve their teaching practice.
We have one clear aim: To be exceptional.
Vacancy: Associate Assistant Headteacher
Full time
Required for: 1st September 2024
Leadership Pay Scale: L6 to L11 - £53380 to £60488. (starting point can be agreed at interview)
We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, ambitious and dynamic leader who is committed to ensuring every child is stretched and challenged to reach their full potential. To reflect the importance of this new role, the successful candidate will work closely with our senior leadership team and contribute to our school’s strategic vision.
This vacancy would suit an experienced, successful leader who is passionate about teaching and learning and is driven to ensure the best outcomes for all students.
We are proud of our students; their attendance and behaviour is excellent, and they want to learn and be successful.
Millfield is a school where teachers and leaders can flourish; hard work is recognised and rewarded.
We can offer you an induction and support programme. You will have access to, and lead on, high-quality CPL that is designed and delivered by colleagues who understand the school and our aims. We have a commitment to our teachers’ professional development in our vision to become a Dynamic Learning Community. We currently have 27 colleagues who have completed, or are completing, National Professional Qualifications. In conjunction with SLT, you will develop the strategic direction of the school.
At Millfield, the welfare of the child is paramount. This school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.
All staff should understand their responsibility to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
Staff are responsible for their own actions and behaviour and should avoid any conduct which would lead any reasonable person to question their motivation and intentions. Staff should work, and be seen to work, in an open and transparent way.
Attitudes towards promoting and safeguarding the welfare of children and young people will be scrutinised during the selection process for the post that you have applied for.
If you are appointed to this post, information in relation to safeguarding and protecting children and young people will be provided at induction.
Please note that in line with Keeping Children Safe in Education 2023, an online search will be carried out as part of our due diligence on shortlisted candidates
