Job description
Role: Air Conditioning Engineer
Location: RAF Marham
Main Duties & Responsibilities
To implement the building services, planned preventative maintenance (PPM) programme and reactive maintenance (RM) in accordance with the building operational requirements and in compliance with the contract service levels:
- Keep F-Gas records up to date
- Small install project works
- Carry out maintenance on various equipment
- Minimise downtime of equipment
- Optimise equipment by implementing energy saving initiatives
- Monitor stock levels within the central stores and workshop
- Quote for parts as required from day to day works to larger project tasks
- Participate in a standby rota for emergency calls outside normal working hours (1 in 7)
Essential Qualifications & Experience
- F-Gas Category 1
- C&G 2079
- Competent working knowledge of HVAC building systems
- IPAF 3A/3B
- Fault finding experience
- AC installation
- Refrigeration oil servicing
- Computer literate
- BMS (Trend)
- Electrical maintenance
- Energy management
Desirable Qualifications
- Trend operators’ course
- IOSH or NEBOSH
- Inspection & testing
- A2L refrigerants
- Personal Aptitude & Skills:
- Positive, outgoing, friendly, persuasive, committed
- Ability to clearly communicate work tasks and win the commitment of others to achieving high levels of operational performance
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage resources available
Essential Qualifications & Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years relevant experience
- City & Guilds of NVQ Qualified
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to deal with all levels of staff.
- Proactive in achieving the highest standard of operation.
- Have good IT and report writing skills.
- Ability to work under pressure whilst remaining calm, clear thinking and able to deliver the required services to the client within given time constraints.
