Exciting opportunity for an SEN Teaching Assistant looking for a full-time position!

We are working with a excellent SEN School on the Wirral who are recruiting a full-time SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team. This role will commence asap. The School has 2 sites on the Wirral and cater for KS2- KS5 pupils with additonal needs inclduing Autsim and Social, emotional mental health. The school offers a personalised and enriching curriculum to pupils. All staff aim to nurture pupils and challenge them to get the best out of their ability.

As an SEN Teaching Assistant you will have experience of supporting students with Special Needs and will be able to build relationships and help students overcome any obstacles and barriers to learning.

The role will consist of building a strong relationship with the pupil, providing emotional support and encouraging them to learn. We will provide you with fantastic CPD to give you the tools for the role.

Roles and Responsibilities: As a Teaching Assistant at our school, you will play a crucial role in supporting our students' educational journey. Your responsibilities will include:

• Assisting with the smooth transition of new pupils into the school community.
• Providing personalised 1:1 support to students, tailoring your approach to their unique needs.
• Facilitating engaging and interactive learning experiences for small groups of pupils.
• Collaborating with teachers, therapists, and parents to create a holistic and effective support system.

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Previous experience working with students with SEMH and ASC
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Patience, empathy, and a nurturing attitude.
