SENIOR HR ADVISOR Our client is an award winning and acclaimed full-service law firm with a rich history spanning over 40 years. They have a national recognition for their unparalleled expertise in securing favourable outcomes for their diverse clientele, ranging from businesses to individuals. We are seeking a Senior HR Adviser to join their expanding HR department at their Manchester Spinningfields office. Reporting to the HR Director, you will collaborate closely with the wider HR team and senior management across all of their regional offices, currently comprising over 700 employees. While your primary base will be in Manchester, regular travel to their London office (approximately once a month) and occasional visits to their Liverpool office will be necessary. Responsibilities and Duties: The Senior HR Adviser’s role encompasses:
Building effective professional relationships to provide HR advice, guidance, and support to individuals and people managers within assigned departments.
Handling various HR matters including probation, performance, conduct, grievances, flexible working, sickness absence, and family-related leave.
Utilising insights from day-to-day interactions to inform and develop effective people priorities and plans.
Supporting HR team objectives to add value and drive improvement.
Collaborating with the wider HR team to deliver operational HR activities such as recruitment, onboarding, performance reviews, and benefits administration.
Assisting with regular assessments and activities like Investors In People, learning and development provision, and pay and performance reviews.
Supporting the operational delivery of the firm’s benefits.
Skills and Knowledge Required:Relevant professional qualification (e.g., CIPD Level 5 or equivalent).
Previous HR experience in a law firm is preferable but not essential
Minimum 2-3 years’ HR experience, preferably as an HR Adviser.
Significant Employee Relations skills and experience.
Understanding of legal sector and regulatory requirements.
Proficiency in HR Information Systems.
Strong organisational and communication skills.
Professional integrity and alignment with company values.
