Primary Function & Purpose: - With minimal supervision set up and operate plant and equipment to enable production output to be met.
- Maintain and preserve the value of the Company’s assets, fully contributing to planned preventative maintenance and calibration activities.
- Undertake installation and commissioning of plant and equipment associated with projects.
- Suggest and implement modifications to plant and equipment to improve performance and /or reliability.
- Ensure plant and equipment remains in a safe, and proper condition, at all times during both operating and maintenance periods.
- Attend to plant and equipment breakdowns and failures.
Principle Responsibilities: - Program and troubleshoot logic systems, including electrical relay, PLC, pneumatic, and hydraulic.
- Performs mechanical, electrical, or electronic fault analysis and repair in response to equipment breakdown.
- Repairs or replaces equipment components, sensors and/or instrumentation as needed.
- Document maintenance in established computerised maintenance management system (CMMS).
- Contribute to Disciplined Problem-Solving activities when required.
Provide an engineering resource to site wide projects, to include: - Plant and equipment specification and design
- Project planning and contractor liaison
- Installation
- Commissioning
Qualifications and Skills: - HNC/HND Mechanical or Electrical/Electronic Engineering or equivalent is preferred.
- Mechanical or Electrical Apprenticeship.
- Mechanical engineering/workshop experience.
