Primary teaching assistant - Bath
Axcis are currently helping a primary school in Bath in their pursuit of filling one of their teaching assistant roles supporting a student on a 1:1 basis. This post is full time and starting as soon as possible. The student is diagnosed with autism and can be challenging, so the school is looking for someone they would consider to be strong in supporting students and able to jump in and run with it. Working hours are 8:30-3:30, Monday to Friday and term time only. Communication is a big thing at this school and they like staff to have an open flow of information when it comes to making sure everyone is heading in the same direction in relation to students education. The right person will be able to follow instructions given either by the teacher or special needs co-ordinator and report back on progress daily. Good behaviour management delivered in a positive and engaging tone is also essential, so that a strong relationship can be built with the student. The school is relatively central in Bath so can be easily reached either by car or public transport.
